Here's some fantastic and clever typographic faces - creating a portrait out of font. Awesome!

I have this habit, thankfully not an every day one of playing with food. I don't know what it is, it might be the combination of boredom and textures, but anyways, I had this thought of creating some interesting fonts with food, kind of like this spaghetti idea...so a possible personal project for me - typographic food!! Font has never tasted so good...

He has designed album covers for Lou Reed, OK Go, The Rolling Stones, David Byrne, Aerosmith and Pat Metheny. Sagmeister goes on a year-long sabbatical around every seven years, where he does not take work from clients. Currently on one in Bali, Indonesia, he is resolute about this, even if the work is tempting, and has displayed this by declining an offer to design a poster for Barack Obama's presidential campaign. Sagmeister spends the year experimenting with personal work and refreshing himself as a designer."

It is always refreshing to be able to be purely creative, to design for yourself and with no responsibility. I'm hoping this year I have the personal time to do just this, to experiment with personal work.

Interactivity at its finest...the Wrangler Blue Bell website pushes the boundaries with this flash based animation. This is such a playful website - you just can't get enough of ripping the man's shirt off or throwing his jacket off. It's definitely a website I won't forget. The downside though would be the loading time and having too much fun interacting with the model rather than making any shopping purchases.
Yulia Brodskaya creates these wonderful quilled paper illustrations which are so interesting and unique. I love the combination of paper colours and the texture it creates. Her work has been featured in a few magazine covers and advertising posters - her creative is quite an inspiration!

According to their analysis I am "Archer Hairline", an understated, progressive and emotional typeface. I haven't come across this font before, but am loving the thin weight and the delicate dots and flourished ends. This font is a combination of geometric and antique styles, developed by Hoefler & Frere-Jones

2011 is here and we are happy to say we have officially launched our website today. We'll be spreading the word about our new website, in the mean time we've got a few design projects ahead of us this year including design work for a charity that we are supporting - Lions Links. We also have in the works design for mobile technologies, so we're looking forward to expanding on that area as well since the boom of the iphone has opened up another field to discover.

All in all, we are totally looking forward to 2011 and coming in to the new year with much enthusiasm. We're also as always keeping an eye out on the latest design trends and hoping to have the time to document what we are digging this year.

We'd like to wish all our clients and suppliers a fantastic Christmas and a Prosperous 2011!

We will be launching our new website on the first Monday of 2011. Our website showcases some of the projects we have designed over the past few years and we have been lucky enough to have received some awesome feedback from our clients...we do our best!

For 2011 we're looking to further improve our skills and offer more services particularly in the online environment...so keep posted with this because opportunities to increase business exposure can only be a good thing and coupled with design aesthetic is even better!

Keep a watch out for our website launch, only a few more days to go! Hooray!

Hello World! We have finally entered the world of blogging. This blog will basically be the hub of all things inspirational to Palomo Graphics. The internet is a fantastic resource, but also is our surroundings. We're often inspired by nature, the urban jungle, the streets, other successful designers. We may also use this blog to make announcements of new clients, or interesting projects we're involved in. You can look at this as the backstage - the in's and out's of Palomo Graphics and the creative outlet. We might also use this blog as a mention to new techniques, new ideas and just everything new on our end.

Designing and building our latest website has been a process of heart pouring, sleepless nights and sweat! We love it so far and hope to keep it up to date for you as regularly as possible. There are a lot of changes happening, we're getting some balls rolling, improving our services and growing our capabilities.

We have also updated our pricing guide this year - keeping most of the same prices from 2010, but giving the guide a more visual appeal just so you can view the prices but also see what you're really paying for.

That's it for our first post really, but come back again for more Palomo Graphics progress. Over and out!
